We used to think that burning and enjoying a candle was accomplished
by simply lighting the wick.  There are many steps to take to ensure
that you get the maximum amount of enjoyment out of your candles
while also burning them as safely as possible.

  • Always trim your wick to 1/4" before lighting the candle to
prevent smoking of the wick.  If you notice the flame burning too
high, extinguish the candle, let cool, and trim the wick a bit more.
  • When 1/2" of wax remains in the bottom of the candle jar,
discontinue burning.  The heat from the flame can cause the jar to
be too hot to touch, and can cause injury.
  • Do not burn the candles in an area where there is a draft.
  • Do not burn the candles close to drapes or other flammable items.
  • Burn candles on fireproof holders to ensure maximum safety.
  • Do not burn your candles for more than 3 or 4 hours at a time.
  • Always keep a burning candle far out of reach of children and pets.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Finally, ENJOY your fragrant candle!
